I was in Libya in January 2007. There are entrepreneurs like Rajab Layas of Waha Tourism but the government bureacracy is fearful. Until there is a regime change which allows a private sector to develop and grow I can't see tourism developing in Libya.

I don't think Libya will be good place for tourism in the near future, at least not before building a better service infrastructure and offer better security measurements for tourits, not to forget the tough culture and unfriendly morals of most people there!
