Unions Pressure Belgian Government to Allow Arms Export to Libya

The Belgium government issued a license to Fabrique Nationale so that it can
fulfill a €11.5 million purchase contract of weapons to Libya. The contract
means securing 5 years worth of employment in the Belgian region of Herstal, in
the Walloon region. Further checking of the company, it not only owns the
Browning and Winchester trademarks but it is entirely owned by the government of
the Walloon Region in Belgium.
